Although you might be forgiven for thinking that there’s not much to smile about in Bangkok at the moment, the moon and stars disagree.
Stepping out onto my apartment balcony this evening for my post-supper cup of Earl Grey, I noticed that there were just two stars in the night sky. They were positioned just above the smiley arc of the moon.
I don’t know why, it just made me laugh so I thought I’d share it with you.

Ha! I thought it looked like a smiley too, yesterday, while coming back from the desert (Rajasthan India). Also thought what would happen if I posted it on my blog, but the car was going too fast! Slightly weird coincidence, Gavin:)

Yup, we’re all looking at the same moon.
However, whilst your moon has it’s crescent at the bottom, ours currently has it to the right hand side, so we are obviously seeing it at different angles.
I’m sure there is some maths involved somewhere, to prove it, but that would just ruin the magic of it all.
