Has this ever happened to you?

The other variation on this is when people see you with a big camera and declare “Wow! That’s a nice camera, I bet it takes great pictures”. Tsk!

Oh, yes.
“You must have a good lens,” has been my favourite after folk seeing my photos.
This had me in stitches!
A friend recently emailed me….the photos look beautiful, is it your camera or lens or both?
Just occasionally someone will say that I must have a very good camera, fab lens etc. However, what intrigues me most is that when looking at my photographic attempts nobody has ever once said that I must have a very poor lens/very poor camera/that my camera takes bad pictures etc; etc. There`s just a very judgemental silence! Funny that, isn`t it? To be honest, the images are not that bad – it`s more to do with the fact that a lot of people just don`t understand them
@Heath, I have to agree fully about the silence…
There is a serious lack of understanding. To us, a rusty bolt on a steel bridge shows a strong life of perserverence against the elements. To the others it’s a rusty bolt…
All the time. But… it’s true though, cause it’s a Nikon
Love it…
