Adobe Lightroom 2.3 Released

portableadobelightroomAdobe have released Lightroom version 2.3.

The upgrade includes several bug fixes including a memory leak that could cause Lightroom to seize up when processing files with local adjustments, which I think I’ve experienced, and rids the software of the bug that produced artifacts when processing EOS 5D II sRAW files. It also rectifies the problem which saw slideshows return to the first image in a sequence unexpectedly.

Also available is Camera Raw 5.3 although I haven’t downloaded this yet, I have a suspicion that it will only work with Photoshop CS4.

Hurrah! I’ve been using the 2.3 release candidate for a while and it had certainly cured the appalling memory leaks I was seeing on my PC….my floor must have been covered in memory!

I too suspect the new ACR will only work with CS4 and I haven’t upgraded to that yet, when I tried it it didn’t like my graphic card. :(

I used the 2.3RC for a few weeks with no problems. Updated to 2.3 this morning and used it all day with no problems. It seemed slightly faster than 2.2 on my iMac but I haven’t done any serious tests.
