Time-lapse photography of clouds forming over Bangkok

I hope that the battles that are still taking place in Bangkok as I write this (Monday 13th) will have subsided by the time this post appears and we can concentrate on more upifting things. Such as… a short time-lapse sequence of clouds forming over Bangkok. Taken with a Canon G9 camera, set to take a frame every two seconds, this sequence condenses 45 minutes into just over 90 seconds.

Thanks Gavin, I really enjoyed that.

  2. Very interesting and original. I am curious as to how you put it together, any particular program? Thx.

Cheers Tim. Younes, the sequence was shot on a Canon G9 camera, which has a time-lapse option under the movie setting. Basically, you secure the camera to a tripod, select the time interval between shots, 2 seconds in this instance, hit the shutter release and put the kettle on. Several reviving pots of tea later – voila!

  4. Cheers for the info Gavin. Looking forward to seeing more.
