Vanity Fair Annual Travel Edition, April 2010

The annual Vanity Fair Travel edition is in the shops now, featuring an article on Bali and the photographs that I took, whilst on assignment for the magazine.

You can see a selection of the photos of Bali that I took for this commission in my Portfolio and a description of the gear that I used on the My Gear page.

  1. What a great assignment…congrats. John

  2. Go Gavin! Well done mate! :) How did you like Bali? I think it’s one of the most photogenic places per square kilometer, as far as culture and nature photography goes. Congrats on the article.

Mitchell, I agree. In fact, I liked it so much that I’m seriously considering moving there if the political situation in Bangkok deteriorates. In fact, I’m considering moving there even if it doesn’t. I loved it.

A wonderful body of work, Gavin–so inviting. Is this issue limited to the UK or will we perhaps see it here in North America?

Well done, Gavin. Beautiful photos. I spent a month in Bali in 2008 and fell in love with it as well. That babi guling is tough to beat!

Captivating and evocative images. Even when it is overcast you made it look so inviting. So when is the first Bali workshop, Mr Gough!

Wow! I didn’t realise the photos were already up on your website. They are so clean and sharp. I love the people shots and the one of the pools and sunbeds is stunning. I have a few days off thanks to another Hindu ceremony and after being inspired by your images, I am going to go out with tourist photographer eyes and shoot everything I see!
