Photo Tours and Expeditions

“I had an amazing time!”

“Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, insight and experience. This workshop helped me grow as a photographer – and as a person. Back home, I am walking more slowly, talking to more people and getting to know them better before lifting the camera (the results are amazing). By the end of each day, I have new friends and interesting stories, not to mention a better knowledge and understanding of the place and its people”

It’s always nice to get positive feedback and the quote above came from young Daniel Torres, a recent workshop participant. Modesty aside for a second, we get a lot of complimentary feedback for tours and workshops. Another recent photo workshop participant, Linda Sykes I’Anson, says:

“It was such a memorable experience. Your golden tidbits of instruction have stuck with me since our time together.  Thinking about things differently and digesting your teachings has been empowering.”

We have a number of photo tours planned for the coming months and places remain available on the following adventures. If you would like to benefit from the knowledge and experience of a professional travel photographer (me!) whilst enjoying an adventure in some of the world’s most enchanting and photogenic locations then simply follow the links below.
BHUTAN FESTIVALS

Bhutan Photo Tour
September 13th to 26th, 2010

The "Land of the Thunder Dragon" remains one of the world's most remote locations. The autumn Tsechus (Festivals) provide vibrant, colourful spectacles that cannot be witnessed elsewhere. The group will travel to some of Bhutan's more remote, rural festivals where there will be opportunities to experience the festivals at close-hand. Photographing in Bhutan is always a joy, the local people are warm and hospitable and visitors invariably leave Bhutan vowing to return. This two-week photo tour is also very much a cultural experience and photographers are encouraged to participate in activities that support the local communities where we stay.

It will be an opportunity to enjoy an aspect of local Buddhist tradition that few people outside Laos will have witnessed. There will also be an opportunity to stay in a village in northern Laos, enjoying the company of the local people and experiencing local customs. Participants will enjoy some of the most rich and varied photo opportunities in South East Asia.

Egypt's Black and White deserts offer photographers a unique opportunity to capture images in one of the world's most testing environments.

Good luck with the photos tours Gavin, and not that they need it, but i’ll add my own ringing endorsement by saying the day we got to spend in Dorset is still the most influential thing in my photography to date! I’m still learning and re-learning the lessons even now so if ever i’m over in your neck of the woods you can be sure i’ll be signing up for a full week!! Regards ~Ian

These tours look fantastic, Gavin, and I would truly like to benefit by meeting you on one of them. I’m sure I could learn so much… if your endorsements are anything to go by.

But, they are sadly a little out of my price range.

However, if you ever plan on doing a half-day in Bognor, for fifty quid, then please let me know ;)

You should arrange some tour in May/June. It would give some people (me) more chance to join one of your expeditions.
