New Delhi Train Station
New Delhi Railway station is the largest in India’s capital city and one of the busiest in the sub-continent. Over 300 trains a day pass through New Delhi Train Station and the 16 platforms are invariably packed with passengers waiting for their trains to arrive. Trains are frequently crowded to overflowing, with passengers hanging on to the doors and windows in order to make their journey.

Wonderful. I was in Mumbai earlier this week and they don’t allow shooting in railway stations. Jonathan
Hi Gavin,
I hope you’re doing well. I love the train station photos. Especially the third one. How long are you going to be in India?

Great shots Gavin! You really captured the frantic pace well…
Beautiful Gavin, just gorgeous. I especially love the one with the woman’s arm and hand.
Great series – I think my favorite is the last with the battered roofs and the aerial view of the couple walking away from the train. A lot of texture and a story. The descriptions reminded me of riding a bus in Nicaragua. Felt like I could stop holding myself up and go nowhere.
Wonderful color series, takes me back to my visits to Kolkata and Delhi.
Great set of images. I too really like the shot of the arm.
I miss seeing the exif data when I roll over the images – is that becasue you are posting while on the road , or have you stopped including it?
Safe travels
Dave
I love trains! Very nice images.
