He dreams of flying

I’m really enjoying the chance to play with the light in the cloisters of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

When I saw this Peacock Dancer posing with his friends for the benefit of tourists inside Angkor Wat, I was sure there was an opportunity to create something mystical, an image, perhaps, that might illustrate a Khmer Fairy Tale. With the golden light of late afternoon streaming into the cloisters through the ancient wooden struts, it was too good an opportunity to ignore. I’m especially fond of the image below, which I hope will suggest the magical, mystical qualities that Angkor possesses.
