I’ve recently acquired a Canon 24mm TS-E II lens, which is great for correcting those annoyingly converging vertical lines. Indeed, after just a few days, I’m wishing that all my lenses had the “Shift” capability that would allow me to keep vertical lines parallel to the edge of the frame whilst still being able to move the composition upward or downward.
I’ll explain more about how the Tilt & Shift lens works for architectural photography in a future post, including my reasoning for why such lenses would be more accurately known as “Shift, Tilt and Rotate” lenses. But, for now, here’s an example of how a Tilt and Shift lens can create that well-known miniaturisation look with a view of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
Very nice. I can’t wait to afford one of those T/S lenses. Thanks for sharing.
