Photo Tours
Photo tours are planned to take participants to the most fascinating and photogenic locations at the best time of year. Each photo tour is planned with ethical considerations in mind and participating photographers are encouraged to contribute to the local culture, ensuring that our photo tours create an exchange that benefits the local community as well as providing us with memorable experiences. We aim to build a relationship with the communities that we visit and, consequently, the opportunities that we enjoy frequently surpass those enjoyed by the casual visitor.
KUMBH MELA, INDIA
 | Tuesday April 6th to Saturday April 17th, 2010

The tour gets underway in Delhi, from where we'll travel to Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world. From Varanasi the group will move to Haridwar and the Kumbh Mela festival. The Kumbh Mela is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage occurring 4 times every 12 years. It previously has set the record for the largest gathering of people in the world at over 60 million. BHUTAN FESTIVALS
 | September, 2010
The "Land of the Thunder Dragon" remains one of the world's most remote locations. The autumn Tsechus (Festivals) provide vibrant, colourful spectacles that cannot be witnessed elsewhere. The group will travel to some of Bhutan's more remote, rural festivals where there will be opportunities to experience the festivals at close-hand. Photographing in Bhutan is always a joy, the local people are warm and hospitable and visitors invariably leave Bhutan vowing to return. This two-week photo tour is also very much a cultural experience and photographers are encouraged to participate in activities that support the local communities where we stay. | |
