As a photographer who has worked with Lightroom since it’s first Beta release and who uses the application on an almost daily basis, I have learnt how to utilise the power of the software to my advantage and have developed methods of production that allow me to make the very best from my images.

Workshop aims

The main principles covered in the workshop aim to ensure that:

• Your digital files are safely and securely stored
• You gain the skills necessary to use the full extent of Lightroom’s tools, learning how to realise the full potential in your images

Realising potential

As well as providing a versatile cataloguing solution, Lightroom has a host of tools that enable users to bring out the best in their photographs. Careful use of exposure and white balance settings can enhance image files whilst brushes, gradients, split-toning and vignette tools allow a photographer to make creative decisions about how best to present their images.

The Slideshow, Print and Web modules provide simple yet elegant ways of producing output which can be shared in a variety of ways.

I now offer a half-day Lightroom Expert workshop for 1-4 participants in the Bangkok area which includes tuition on the following:

• Digital Asset Management
  Uploading, Importing, File-naming, Metadata, Storage, Backups
• Library Module
  Captioning, Keywording, Metadata presets, Smart collections
• Develop Module
  Presets, Brushes, Gradients, Grayscale, Split-Toning, Vignettes, History states
• Slideshow, Print and Web Modules
  Saving presets, Third-party plug-ins, Creating a brand identity

The workshop can be customised to address the particular needs of participants. Let me know when you complete the booking form if there are specific areas that you would like covered.

The workshop can take place at a venue of your choice, your home or workplace, or at a convenient, central location. A MacBook Pro computer and large monitor are supplied.

Participants will receive a FREE USB thumb-drive (PC & Mac) containing a summary of the aspects covered, further tutorials and a selection of ready-to-install Lightroom presets.
